Right-click the Corel Update Helper tray icon to open. To turn off or reduce the frequency of these messages, follow these steps: 1. You will see these messages in the Windows Notification Area (System Tray). From time to time, Corel provides product alerts via the Corel Update Helper. Back in PaintShop pro, your duplicate layer is now replaced with the brushstrokes. Older versions of PaintShop Pro, ParticleShop, VideoStudio. Choose the notifications you would love to turn off in the Notification menu. In the account section, click on Notifications. Once accessed, tap on the settings icon (usually a gear icon) on the top right spot of your screen. Close the settings Windows and you’re done. Scroll down to the bottom of the list of icons you can turn on or off, and click the button to disable Action Center. On the right, click the Turn system icons on or off link. Select the duplicate (top) layer, then head over to Effects – Plugins – Painter – ParticleShop. In the System window, click the Notifications & actions category on the left. This assures that Particle Shop can bring over just the brush strokes. While this sounds counter intuitive to point at the Photoshop location and like a recipe for disaster, this is indeed the correct procedure.

The Group Policy Editor isn't available on Windows 11 Home, but you can still suppress update notifications using the Registry. Once you complete the steps, the system will no longer show distracting notifications for updates.
